Vladimír Havrilla - biography
1943 born on May 13th in Bratislava 1957-1962 Secondary School of Industrial Design, Bratislava 1962-1968 the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, Bratislava 1970 Four Reliefs and a Sculpture, Cemetery Revúca 1972-1982 Produced 20 short films (super8-mm) and wrote about 140 scripts and film themes 1975 Sculptures in the interior and exterior of the Zelený dom, Bratislava (destroyed in 1990) 1976 imprisonment upon suspicion, Bratislava 2000 one year before 9/11 he posted up a poster Muž Sochy slobody (Husband of the Statue of Liberty), it was a proposal for finishing building of the Twins in the WTC in New York. The poster was titled: Novarum rerum nascitur nobis ordo (The order of new things is coming.) His art production includes sculpture, objects, drawing, painting, graphics, computer graphics, film, photography, animations, comic books, and short stories. Lives and works in Bratislava.
